How to add Proto AI Commerce for Shopify

Go to https://commerce.proto.ai/
and click the Sign up button.

Select the Shopify option from the list
and click on Add Shopify App

After you have clicked on the Add Shopify app button, you should be redirected to our App page in the Shopify store. Click on “Add app” to install the Proto AI Commerce App. Make sure that you log in to your store first.

After you have clicked on the Add app button, you should be able to see the screen below. Click on the “Install app” button.

You should be able to see the following screen. Enter your email, password and the password confirmation and then click on the Sign Up button. Or login if you already have an account with Proto AI Commerce

Congrats! You have successfully created an account at Proto AI Commerce and installed the Proto AI Commerce app. Now, you should be able to see our setup instructions page, which includes a detailed explanation of how to insert the Proto AI Recommendations to your site.

Customizing Display For Our Shopify Widgets

The Proto AI Recommendations Widgets can be displayed in several options for your Shopify store. To enable the recommendation display options, follow the Setup Instructions tab in your Proto AI Commerce App. Here, you can edit and customize the appearance of the widgets on your storefront.

Proto AI Recommendation Grid Widget:

This widget displays a set number of products in a grid style. This layout is ideal for storefronts that want to display between 2 and 5 recommended products in the same section.

Proto AI Recommendation Drawer Widget:

This sticky widget allows recommended products to scroll with the customer as they navigate the page. This layout improves the navigation experience and ensures the recommended products are always visible and accessible on your storefront.

Proto AI Recommendation Banner Widget:

This widget is an easy way to display a single product to customers without including an “add to cart” button. Because this widget is customizable in width, it is meant to be displayed front and center and visible to the customer as they navigate through various pages on your storefront

Proto AI Recommendation Card Widget:

This widget has a compact design and is perfect for displaying a single product on pages that are limited in space. This layout allows for recommendations to be included within product descriptions or the ability to maximize exposure by displaying this widget multiple times across your pages.
